We want you to be happy with your purchase. We also know that buying a tool online means taking a small leap of faith, so here is exactly how returns work.
AdaptGrip accepts returns and exchanges of items purchased on our website within 30 days of delivery, subject to the conditions below. Items cannot be returned or exchanged more than 30 days after delivery.
A AdaptGrip socket is pushed onto fasteners and turned under load. Once it has been used, the pin tips and the chrome rim pick up marks, the pins carry grit from the fastener, and the socket cannot be resold - so it is not eligible for return.
Returns are therefore accepted only for sockets that are unused, with all parts in their original packaging.
If you have opened the box and looked at the socket but have not used it, it still qualifies. If you pushed it onto one bolt to see how the pins move and never turned it, e-mail us and describe exactly what happened - we will look at it case by case and tell you honestly where you stand.
To be accepted, a return must meet all of the following:
Any sign of use or damage will invalidate the return.
E-mail hello@adaptgrip.shop with your order number and the reason for the return or exchange. We will reply with instructions. Please do not send anything back before you have received those instructions - unannounced returns cannot be processed.
Once a return is approved, please send the item back within 14 days.
The socket covers fasteners from 7 to 19 mm (1/4" to 3/4") with a head the pins can reach around: hex, square and octagon nuts and bolt heads, wing nuts, eye bolts, hooks and partly rounded heads. It does not fit recessed heads, spark plugs, screws, perfectly round shafts or anything outside that range, and it is not made for impact wrenches or wheel lug nuts. If the socket does not fit what you bought it for and it is still unused, tell us what the fastener is when you e-mail us and we will arrange a return.
If you ordered the wrong pack - one socket when you meant two, for example - and the box is still unused, we will exchange it. Tell us which pack you meant to order when you e-mail us and we will sort it out.
You are responsible for the cost of return shipping and for packaging the item securely. Please keep the original box if you think you may return it. We recommend a tracked service, as we cannot guarantee that we will receive an untracked return. Items damaged in return transit may have their refund reduced or refused.
Once your return is received and inspected we will e-mail you to confirm that it has arrived and whether the refund has been approved or rejected. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method, normally within 14 days of us receiving the item.
Order add-ons: Gift Wrap is not refundable once the order has shipped. Shipping Protection and Priority Processing are free and have no refund value.
Banks and card providers usually need a further 2β3 business days to post a refund. If more time than that has passed and you still have not seen it, e-mail us at hello@adaptgrip.shop and we will look into it.
If your order arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, e-mail hello@adaptgrip.shop within 48 hours of delivery with a photo of the item and the packaging. We will arrange a free replacement or a full refund at no cost to you.
Please report it within that 48-hour window. We use the carrier's delivery timestamp when reviewing damage claims, and claims raised long after delivery may not be possible to honour.
Under normal use a pin should never fall out. If one does within 90 days of delivery, e-mail us with your order number and a photo of the pin face and we will send a replacement socket free of charge. This covers everyday DIY use on a drill, driver or hand ratchet. It does not cover sockets used on an impact wrench or on wheel lug nuts, or pins that have been pulled or bent on purpose.
The most common "it slips" report is a socket that was not pushed all the way on, was tilted on the fastener, or was asked for more torque than a pin socket should give. Before you write to us, push the socket straight on until it seats, keep pushing in while you turn, and run the drill on its lowest speed. If it slips, stop and reseat it rather than forcing it - forcing a slipping socket is what rounds off bolt heads. If it still slips on a sound 7β19 mm fastener, e-mail us with a photo of the fastener and we will help.
If the socket was a gift, the person who received it can start a return or exchange by following the same steps above, using the order number from the gift card or from the buyer. Refunds go back to the original payment method. If you would rather not involve the buyer, we will exchange it for a different pack instead.
We cannot accept returns of sockets that have been used, items returned without their original packaging or with missing parts, or items damaged by use contrary to the instructions - including damage from an impact wrench or impact driver, from wheel lug nuts or seized and torque-critical fasteners, from forcing a slipping socket, from pulling or bending pins, or from modifying the socket or the adapter.
We would love to hear your feedback, questions or concerns. E-mail us at hello@adaptgrip.shop - we read everything.
